The Clothes Closet is a free store managed by the LISD Council of PTAs and staffed entirely by LISD PTA volunteers. It is a service program designed specifically for the families of LISD. The purpose of the Clothes Closet is to provide gently used, clean, school clothing as well as brand new underwear and socks to the students in our district. ANYONE is eligible to shop as many times as needed until reaching the semester limit.

 

The clothes are donated by businesses, individuals and families in our community. They are sorted by gender and size and hung in our facility. Families can come and shop for clothes free of charge for their LISD students Grades Pre-K through High School. Each student may receive 10 tops, 10 bottoms, 5 new pairs of underwear and 5 new pairs of socks per semester. Per school year, each student may receive 2 sweatshirts or sweaters, 1 coat and 1 jacket.
